Music: By Manuel de Falla (El Sombrero de Tres Picos, produced 1919).

Choreography: Originally choreographed by Léonide Massine (1919); rechoreographed by George Balanchine.

Production: Scenery and costumes by Kjeld Abell.

Premiere: October 12, 1930, Royal Danish Ballet, Royal Theater, Copenhagen. Conductor: Victor Schiøler.

Cast: The Miller, Leif Ørnberg; The Miller's Wife, Ulla Poulsen; The Corregidor, Karl Merrild; The Corregidor's Wife, Tony Madsen; The Red Lady, Ragnhild Rasmussen; Policemen; Townspeople.

Note: Performed, with Schéhérazade and La Boutique Fantasque, in the first of two Royal Danish Ballet series called Ballet Evenings by George Balanchine presented during his six months as guest ballet master.
